6月1日、GCWはダニー・ハボック(本名グラント・バークランド)が亡くなったことを発表しました。

ハボックは2005年にデビュー。デスマッチレスラーとして活躍し、CZWジュニアヘビー級王座、CZWタッグチーム王座などを獲得しました。2017年に一度引退したものの、2019年に復帰。2020年2月のGCW日本大会にも参加しました。
死因は明かされていません。PWInsiderによれば、彼の妻は今年亡くなっていたそうです。
インパクト・レスリングのサミ・キャラハンは、この知らせを受けてこんなツイートを投稿しました。
とても悲しい。ダニー・ハボックなしに今日の俺はない。完璧な天才だったけど、それに値する評価は得られなかった。彼と共に世界を回ることができたのは、俺にとって光栄という言葉では足りないほどの経験だった。愛する人に手を差し伸べてください。人生は短い。愛してるよ、グラント。
